A beautiful bird once asked him “have you ever been hurt before?; excuse me, he responded.
Have you ever been heartbroken? She asked again. He replied “No, what I felt was deeper than heartbreak”.

With a pair of gorgeous eyes, she asked; What could be deeper than heartbreak.
Lost in her immaculate beauty, he paused to recollect his thoughts, and replied; loving someone deeply, it breaks your heart to see them in pain, but what’s worse is that, you’re the reason for it.
When 6lack said “Haven’t I already shown, what it’s like to love someone so much you treat their heart like it was your own”.

In that moment the weight of those words sank deep, he could tell.
He could tell by the look in her damsel eyes, that she recognized this tale too well.
Nevertheless, he was wrong, eyes indeed don’t tell the full story; he got lost in her eyes, and found that deceit is a dish perceived by sight, and felt by the corridors of a wandering heart, that dropped its guard one more time.

You see, in all that he experienced, the entirety of what he expected, came to pass; he wasn’t surprised, however, he was disappointed, most of all, at himself.
That once again he found himself drowning in a sea of despair, asking himself all the questions he had no answers to.

And when the waves seized, he found himself on the shores of reckoning;
His heart asked; “one more time”?
“Never again” he replied.

  1. For someone who is currently avoiding any story that’s love related, I’m glad to say this was a good read. And yes, I agree with what the character said to his heart, “NEVER AGAIN”.

  2. NEVER AGAIN, that’s deep. I hope he opens his heart when the right one comes along. This is quite relatable. Great job!
