I wrote first,
I was scrolling through my phone and I saw your pictures
Not the ones that had me in it
Just you alone
And I remembered why I called you sunflower
Cause in that moment, you were both hot and pretty
She replied,
I scrolled up to our texts months ago
When we first chatted
Then it was basically important things we talked about
Conversations that were hardly related to us directly
We probably would still have those conversations, but not without involving ourselves
I remember our fights
They were never words exchanged
Just pillows and laughter and who’d end the call first
MTN must have been everywhere we went, cause the network did work
And Airtel was very reliable cause love was definitely in the air
I use past tense like it’s all over
It’s true, what I had then for you is over
I don’t want to just make you smile anymore
I don’t want to be a reason you smiled
I want to be your smile
So she said and I replied now and always
And she said, when next you look at a picture
Look at both of us
